GQ Analysis: September 2010

The cover boy for this issue is none other than the modest cocky LeBron James.

Looking at the cover, LeBron looks really sharp and that wool (I assumed it’s wool) vest and pants he’s wearing are to die for. Let me be honest here, I’m not a fan of LeBron or even basketball; I’m not even into any sports and the only reason I bought this issue is because I was bored that day and I need something to read during my commute to school. As a guy I don’t want people to catch me reading Vogue or Elle so the proper choice is GQ.

The issue was a good read; it was packed with great tips, articles and gorgeous models who made me feel insecure about my looks. Damn those male models. My favorite advertisement was the A/X ad. Why? It came with 3D glasses, how cool was that?! The Acer ad was pathetic.

Let’s get to business now. The magazine was fairly thick so picking my favorite/hated articles was tough but somehow I managed to make a decision. So without further ado here are the highs and lows of this issue…

My Favorite Article: GQ September 2010

An Army of One by Chris Heath

This article is about an ex-con named Gary Faulkner whose mission is to haunt Osama bin Laden. I wonder what he’s doing now that Osama was killed? If you wanna read the article click the link below.

My Hated Article: GQ September 2010

Three Weeks in Crazyville by J.R. Moehringer

The reason why i don’t like this article is because I don’t personally like the guy. It tackles the life of LeBron James after transferring from the Cavaliers to Heat. Was the move a great decision for him? Maybe yes. They made it to the finals but his team failed to outbest Dallas. Want to read the full article? Click the link below.

That’s it for this issue. Thoughts?

Hello?

If you’re reading this…

Hi. It’s really nice of you to stop by. My name is Angelo; I am the brains behind this blog. This site will mostly contain stuff from my favorite magazine: GQ. If you don’t read GQ then don’t fret because I will also be posting random stuff, but not too many though because the main essence of this blog is the magazine. Every month I will be dissecting the magazine; I will be picking my favorite/hated article and my favorite/hated ad and every year I will pick my favorite cover. My very first copy of GQ magazine is the one with LeBron on the cover; it was the September 2010 issue.I don’t mean to be blasphemous but I consider ‘it’ as my bible. The magazine was entertaining and it really helped me improve my fashion style sense so if you’re a man and you need a guide on how to enhance your life then grab a copy of GQ; it’s cheap and it’s worth your money.

I’m really excited about this project and I hope that along the way I will garner followers who will help me make this project a success.

xo

Angelo
